Brian Anderson, a rare bright spot for the Marlins, is making a strong case.
His contract with the Padres included a performance incentive that awarded him $200,000 per start between starts 20-29. This was to reward him for his health, which had been lacking the past two seasons. He's made 22 starts so far this season, and was traded in the midst of that range. The new team takes on the incentive, unless something unusual has occurred to let the Cardinals out of the clause. The Cardinals, for what it's worth, have said they are planning on using Ross out of the bullpen for now.
Ok, folks. That's all for today. Thanks for swinging by. Hope you get a chance to go check out the PGA action. Stay dry if you do. Until next time.
