Considering MLB players are firing warning shots on Twitter, I'll go MLB.
Better. But using your trusty CBS analytics, five teams in front of the Blues in the division have a better than 67 percent chance.
Usually, yes. Sometimes it takes me a while, just to find the time, but I like reading the comments. Some are bad, sure. But sometimes I learn something or think about something differently or wish I would have phrased something differently. And sometimes they point out typos, which is embarrassing but better to know than not. I try to answer all emails. It takes me longer to get back to people than I would like, but my theory is that if you have a job sharing your opinion, you should offer others the chance to do the same. There are some trolls. But, that's life.
Imo's and Shake Shack, clearly.
Because then the writers would get shelled for not writing about Harper and Machado enough.
Or maybe don't trade and continue to play the second-best hitter on your team the past two seasons: Jose Martinez
Same reason teams are taking a file-and-trial approach with guys when the difference in their salary proposal and the player request is practically peanuts. When it's "just business" all the time, and on one looks up and looks ahead, it makes it a lot easier to run into walls that could have been gently steered around along the way.
I say this with respect and don't want it to be twisted the wrong way, but the loss of Oscar Taveras cannot be tied to the team's performance forever. He might have been a star. He might not have been. He might have exceeded expectations, or never come close to meeting them. He might have been injured and out of the game. It's impossible to know, and it's 2019. Not suggesting, at all, that he should be forgotten or moved on from. At all. I hope you get my point.
Been a while, Jim. You've been missed.
It's too early to say that. We should get a better feel at Winter Warm-Up. By aggressively checking off their biggest needs early, the Cardinals have positioned themselves to wait and see what falls into their laps, if they are interested in that. Question is, are they, and if so, what are they interested in? More relief help? A better LH bench option than Robinson? A surprise starter? TBD.
