OK, back. Sorry about that.
Good question about Sacramento, and I'll admit there are some fuzzy details here.
I can only share what I know, and of course I have more insight to the STL side of things than the Sacramento side of things.
To my knowledge, neither STL nor Sacramento has made an official presentation to the expansion committee. The expansion committee is not the same as meeting with MLS. It's not the same as Garber coming to St. Louis, or Sacramento ownership group attending the board of governor meetings in Los Angeles tomorrow. This could all change, because the league can kind of, sort of make this up as it goes along -- sound familiar? -- but I don't think a team can be awarded an expansion team without an official presentation to the expansion committee. So, that would be big news, that an ownership group -- either STL or Sacramento -- had been invited to present to the expansion committee. It's my understanding that neither of those groups has met, or has been invited at this time to meet with the expansion committee. That suggests to me that there will not be a decision made on expansion this week. We'll see.
