Yes, the run is impressive because three regulars are out.
That does not mean some of the young guys are not playing better than some of those regulars.

And you didn't mention Ozuna, who has been the only player on the team who has out-performed his career norms in a meaningful dose of playing time.
The 2019 Cardinals are better off without the 2019 version of Matt Carpenter, based on all of the evidence we have.
I'm not convinced they are better off without Molina and certainly not without Ozuna, who was the most power-producing left fielder before he got hurt.
