I don't know if the Cardinals were in on Stroman or not, of to what degree if they were.
The sense around that trade was that it happened fast -- and that there might have been teams that would have been willing to offer more before the Jay pulled the trigger with the Mets.
I guess Toronto liked what it got, and didn't want to wait, but the cost of Stroman likely would have climbed if they let it play out.
The Mets got ripped for that trade but I think it's the Blue Jays who got shorted.
