That or maybe we could get him into the podcast booth.
No, I believe he will get at least another shot to help guide that team toward a youth movement.
If a team has a timeout in that scenario, trying to close out a win, then using it to keep the top D-man on the ice would make sense.
To me, the scoreboard is the big thing. I'm not out with the fans much, but all of these amenities are welcome. The whole experience is getting freshened up.
I'd say zero. Armstrong can't hold him responsible for missing the playoffs after trading away Stastny. That was a massive blow for a team talent depth up front and talent down the middle.
He might celebrate by buying Fenton.
I do like that rink. But ice is an issue almost everywhere. In the old days, Northlands Coliseum had amazing ice. The NHL has ice experts that work on this stuff and they can't seem to fix it.
Quite good, because these team could have folded after the Stastny trade. Or Bouwmeester's demise. Or Hutton's injury. Or Gunnarsson's injury. To the credit of Pietrangelo and the other veterans, the group played on.
I can believe that. Even NHL coaches delegate that totally.
Mike got a little carried away with himself after Mark Messier won him that Cup.
No, because he could get job in 10 minutes if he got fired here. He has a building plan and Stillman is on board with it. The Stastny trade was part of that and that did cause some near-term pain.
It just shows that making the playoffs is no simple task in the Western Conference. Ben Bishop kept getting hurt and he's wasn't consistently great when healthy. That was enough to knock that team out of the mix in the midst of its retooling.
To my knowledge, Steen, Berglund, Pietrangelo and Bouwmeester.
I have argue for re-upping Hutton as a free agent, for the reasons you describe. That would be a solid scenario, with Hutton offering protection and Husso developing. Then in a year the Blues will know a lot more about the rest of the team and about those three as well. Making a big move in goal then, if necessary, would be better timing.
OK, I have to move on to other stuff. See you next time!
