I think Bortuzzo may have commented on the fight on one of the Blues' in-house platforms. To my knowledge, I'm the only one who talked to Sanford about it, but that was a couple of weeks after the fight.
Oh, I get the theory. It's just very unusual at the pro level. Even the rigid, regimented NFL lets you talk to assistants. If you don't trust your assistants to talk to the media, then they probably shouldn't be on your staff. I think most of the time when writers want to talk to assistants it's for feature stories, not for stories on the inner-workings of strategy or decision-making, etc.
I think Binnington should be in the top 3, but I think Pettersson (sp?) of Vancouver gets the award and Dahlin of Buffalo gets a lot of votes. The only thing holding Binnington back is the fact that he didn't start a game until January.
Hey, if you can't get excited right now, we might as well put a toe tag on you. Enjoy it while it lasts.
Thank you. Much appreciated. And I am enjoying it, much more than I ever imagined.
I don't really have any more information. I don't think it's anything serious with Kyrou. In fact, I think the Blues are holding out hope that he is available for the postseason.
My youngest son listens to a lot of Kerber and Vitale on the KMOX radio broadcasts; he's thinks Vitale has done a great job. As for Mr. Pang, I would put absolutely nothing past him.
Again, it's gotta be legal, or he wouldn't have it on the ice. I'm gonna have to take a look at it.
Don, weren't you a little hard on the "Bunch of Jerks?"
OK, this time we mean it. Until next time. . . .
