Yeah, it looks like O'Reilly's "A" is "permanent" until Tarasenko returns. As for Steen's "A," I wonder if it will be rotated just between Schenn and Schwartz _ maybe Schwartz wears it at home and Schenn on the road as has been the case so far. Or will there be more Blues in the rotation. Stay tuned on Friday in Columbus.
I'm glad Kostin is up. Again, at this point there's no guarantee that he'll stay up once Brouwer and McGinn have more practices in. I think the Blues would like to see Kyrour get more games in for San Antonio, to make sure he's really in game shape and healthy before contemplating a callup.
I believe so. He's been sound defensively and been pretty good on the PK. But I think they would like some offense out of him. He's taken only 1 shot in two games (a missed shot), and Berube feel he's got more to give on offense.
Good question. I would guess no.
We'll see. Actually, Kostin's a lefty and Brouwer's a righty.
Well, they certainly haven't been good this year 0-for-8. But Bozak, for example is a 44 percent shooter on shootouts over his career. O'Reilly, Perron,, Tarasenko are all around 33 percent. Maybe it's something they should practice a little more..
I believe Kostin primarily is a left winger; Kyrou primarily a righty.
A vote for McDonald. We've got 1 vote for McDonald, 1 for Demitrra, 0 for Boyes. Thanks for your input.
Yes, as a matter of fact. It was pretty cold in Calgary though when I left Sunday.
I;m sure they would like a little more, particularly on offense at this point. But I talked to Berube about Faulk the other day. He didn't seem discouraged at all by Faulk's play. Mentioned he had a good shot, and thinks some goals will start happening.
Yes, he was a fourth-liner averaging 12:13 ice time per game.
Tough call based on de la Rose's low goal totals over his NHL career. But if de la Rose stays on the roster throughout the regular season I'm gonna say yes, he will exceed two goals.
Programming note: Heavy volume of questions today. But I will get to them all. And any more that are forthcoming.
I don't think they were ready to give up on Fabbri at that point in time last summer). And I think _ no one in the organization told me this _ but I think they felt like they might have already gotten the best that Maroon could offer.
Kostin is waivers exempt so you don't have to worry about that. As I've mentioned earlier in the chat, he could be headed down once the Blues deem Brouwer and/or McGinn fit to play and decide to sign one or both. And yes, these moves should put some pressure on Sanford.
I don't know about goals per minute, but Schwartz (4 goals, 11 assists) is fifth on the team in points per minute.
I can't say I've followed his career closely, but it did seem like he was out of line with the recent comments. (Not sure if it was enough to get him fired, unless he had a track record of verbal missteps.)
Although I agree that he should occasionally try to drive the net or get in closer, I must point out that I'm not a coach.
Based on Armstrong comments right after the Tarasenko injury, Walker was in consideration. I would think they feel Kostin has more upside.
