Well, he's done it for just one season there. The KHL is the second-best league in the world, but it's not the NHL. And the rinks are wider there. More space to maneuver.
All teams have three goalies on hand. WIth the Blues, it's Binnington, Allen and Husso.
Alas, not yet. But still hoping to.
I'm going with defense, goaltending and the Stars.
Yes, to my knowledge that's the case. With the possible exception of the local ads _ and I haven't really been paying attention to that _ everything that you're getting at home, we're getting in the stadium.
Not sure on that. But they certainly have drafted well recently, and maybe it was just time t go with the younger guys.
No doubt. You could very well be right.
That's the hope, isn't it?
In the expanded playoffs, 12 teams were taken in each conference. The Blackhawks had the 12th best points percentage in the West, so they got the 12th _ and last _ spot.
Of course, you mean Tampa Bay. Another top 4 seed advances (w/Vegas getting in last night in the West). So far the Round of 16 is playing according to form..
He's done very well. You're not going to get much offense from him. But it looks like he's bought into the Blues style of play. Until now, he hadn't appeared in the playoffs since his rookie year with Montreal in 2014-15. He's playing like he wants to keep experiencing playoff hockey. His PK ability may keep him in the lineup.
May be something to that. You can certainly hear the complaints. Usually, it's a loud, "Heeeeeyy! when someone gets knocked down, etc.
Here it is: Kerry's tie report for the playoffs. . . .
Do you mean Bozak or Thomas? Bozak is very good with the younger players.
That was never set in stone. I think it could be earlier. Maybe December.
Well, there certainly was a time when the Blues were very high on Husso. And he played very well down the stretch for San Antonio this season.
OK, that's kind of what I thought. I'm sure he's already been talking with him some.
Have time for just a few more questions. If anyone wants to join in, now's your time. The queue is clear.
Normally yes. But there are so few of them here. Unless the Flames or Canucks are playing it's just me and a writer from Colorado Hockey Now. And if the Avs are playing at a different time or different day, it's just me. So not much chance for camaraderie.
There has been some talk about opening up the bubble to family members once I think the playoffs reach the conference finals, but right now family members aren't allowed in the bubble.
I miss everything about St. Louis. I miss going to see my oldest son and his wife down at Benton Park West, and hanging out (pre-pandemic) down on Cherokee Street. I miss the fajitas from Las Fuentes, the steak sandwich from the Blarney Stone, and certainly the burgers from Mac's Local Eats. Miss walking the dogs, miss riding my bike on Grant's Trail or around the subdivision.
He lives only a couple of hours away from here, down near Calgary. I tried to reach him earlier during my stay here, but couldn't hook up. I'm sure the Blues have been in contract with him here. And if there comes a time when the bubble standards are loosened a bit, and the Blues are still alive in the playoffs, I'm sure he'll see the team.
Well, I think COVID-19 rates had more to do with the decision, but I can't deny what you're saying!
OK, we're checking out for today. Thanks for participating and enjoy the game tonight. . . . .
