I just think he got lost in what was a high-speed track meet.
Minimum requirement: making the playoffs. If that doesn't happen, Yeo could be in trouble and Armstrong feels some heat. Who else do you think is getting a "pass?."
What's the old hockey saying? You can't make the playoffs by Thanksgiving (American Thanksgiving), but you can miss them by Thanksgiving.
I'm not going to say the Blues are "lazy" but even Yeo has mentioned on a couple of occasions that there's another level they can reach when it comes to work ethic.
Well, he's practicing but still wearing the yellow "no-contact" jersey. He looks good out there, but the question is can he hold up if he's playing multiple games? Remember, the Blues say the knee is fine; it's the compensating _ or overcompensating _ that has led to the various tweaks and strains Fabbri experienced in preseason.
Armstrong told me at the Traverse City prospects tournament that he thought the window was opening on this team being a legit Western Conference contender. Five games in _ and I repeat, just five games in _ maybe the process will take a little longer than hoped.
I really don't think the fourth line has been bad at all defensively. I know plus-minus isn't the end-all be all stat, but Barbashev is even, Thomas minus-1, Blais minus-1 (in games he's played 4th line), and Thorburn was even in his cameo in Chicago. The Blues have eight players (including defensemen) who are minus-3 or worse.
Correct, skating, still wearing yellow non-contact jersey. The Blues still have only one extra forward; so I think they send down a defenseman when he's ready to go. (And right now, I'd say Jerabek.)
Been to all of them in football (Except the new Minnesota stadium.). Of course been to some many, many times.
Good question. Don't think I have an answer for you. I think all the moves made sense.
I too am not a fan of the drop-off pass. I guess they feel it is a way to get through the neutral zone. But I like more direct hockey.
He was with Bozak and Kyrou for the 2nd Chicago game; he was with O'Reilly-Tarasenko for Anahim; he's with Maroon and Bozak tonight.
Sorry I have to cut this short. Time to head to the rink. Apologize for not getting to everyone's questions. Please try again next week. And as always. . .thanks for playing.
