If you can guarantee it will be done then Nolan Arenado is batting third, playing third for the Cardinals tonight. Enjoy.
All true. Don't forget the four losses in the last at-bat.
I think you're probably on the right track there. Lining up the control. Lining up what the Padres would seek. Probably want a power arm in there. Padres have gone that route in the past.
Eric Fryer is officially a free agent.
Cardinals, sans Carpenter (quad)
Thanks, if there is one hope for this chat it's that -- to give you a sense of how the Cardinals and other teams approach and think about these things.
There's the answer. But you knew that.
See the Cubs series: any hitter not named DeJong or Grichuk.
I dig OPS+. It's a helpful stat, strong stat, but no stat is a stat that stands alone. So there's more to it. And when it comes to getting the playing time I'm not so sure Wong is the best example to make your point.
The players' have a kangaroo court where such things are levied.
Nope. Houston has no interest that.
The NL Central keeps on keeping them alive. They are in it by the stumbles of others.
DeJong has made plays at shortstop that plus defenders make. And there is a thought among scouts that if a guy does something it's in there, and the challenge is to get it consistently. That's DeJong. His improvement at short from fall to now is impressive. He has the athleticism and he's showing how that translates to range and also confidence. That defense, small sample size or not, is what got him in the lineup, and then kept him there with his bat producing. Lots to like about DeJong but that doesn't mean he's obviously the starter at short next year. He just has a head start by being the starter now.
Awaiting time with manager here and then the sprint to finish.
