All 30 are tied. And when expansion happens the answer will be 32.
I just did. Depression does not know bounds. Access to treatment, access to education, access to awareness -- and access to compassion, as we've seen this chat, do. Maybe we should all take note and do something about that.
You're welcome in this neighborhood, too. Always room.
No. If he's not getting on base at a rate better than the alternatives, he won't start. It's that simple. Now, the sample size may be the question -- the length of the runway. But the Cardinals have staked out the roster pretty clearly, even at this point. They expect Fowler to be part of the OBP monster that they've long imagined, and that means returning to his career norms, or closer to them for OBP. Now a bump in OPS to that 2017 version would solidify his place for sure. They're not going to wait for August to arrive. This is a big spring training for Fowler. All parties agree.
Good question. He has to get on the ballot for them first. So, that can happen within the next two years, I'm pretty sure. That will be his next chance, before the class of 2021.
He can play a lot of positions and he hits lefthanded, and that's where this starts. The upside power he showed against righthanded pitching in the minors is also part of this. Somebody who does do damage when he connects. The Cardinals saw the strikeout rate, were asked about the strikeout rate, and they talked about how that strikeout rate would have to improve for Robinson to solidify his place in the majors. That's not unusual. That's where he has to improve.
I think unfortunately it's become the default setting due to social media.
I missed that parade. Sorry. Better to talk to someone who was there.
It's for $100-million more. But they do have a World Series title with it. That's the trump card.
I wasn't trying to be coy.
Good question. A third offense -- the team has discretion in this regard. Yes.
Thank you Arkansas. That's the goal of the chat in a lot of ways. Never know where it's going to take us, but if it informs, that's the best.
Yes. That is possible. They will be competing in spring for the opening day roster.
The organization that would trade places with the Cardinals -- success, banners, culture, and all of that -- is Washington. I'm not sure the Nationals would acknowledge it, but they should. They've been missing that final nudge, that final quality, and they have been chasing a good culture for many years now and they have the spent managers to prove it. They cover the consistency the Cardinals have been able to keep -- for the most part.
