My favorite is going to be Coors Field. That’s near where I grew up. It’s the 25th anniversary of the team. I’ll get to see friends. But that’s just me. Why don’t i offer some suggestions for the best ballparks they’ll get to ...
PNC Park, Pittsburgh. A gem. Best skyline in baseball.
Target Field, Minneapolis. One of the best of the new fields, good Downtown.
Dodger Stadium. Can’t beat history and sweeping view.
AT&T Park. Lovely place along the bay, good grilled cheese sandwich a walk away, all of San Fran.
Greg Holland is here. Mike Mayers is not. His locker has been cleaned.
Mayers optioned to Class AAA.
John Brebbia could be. This slide-step stuff with Tuivailala is something to keep an eye on.
Better question: How many contenders would he start for? Let me give this a thought. About nine that I can think of off the top of my head with some help from colleagues here.
And Sisyphus plants his feet, lowers his shoulder, and begins pushing anew.
1) Re: the land line. It is weatherproof. And, to date, they have not been able to cybernetically install Bluetooth. My bet? Bowman gets it first.
2) Re: Mayers. This is definitely a Wong/Grichuk type situation. The playing isn’t there and the team doesn’t want a prospect to rust on the bench when he can get regular work, by script, in the minors.
When the fracture heals, he’s good to go.
Troy Glaus was 8, so is Troy Glaus Sisyphus?
Straight one year. No bells. No whistle.
I called it “improvised” in the paper. Seemed at least that.
He will begin his rehab assignment, at its earliest, 30 days before May 28. That’s by rule. He can only appear in extended spring training until that point, where they don’t charge tickets.
The umpires yesterday were rather declarative in their view of the events, and I was struck by the directness of their language. They said contact was “incidental” and Molina had a “natural reaction.” Usually, the umps will leave it to the league to make such decisions and offer such descriptions of events, preferring not to make judgments before a report is filed. To me, that says a lot, and it reveals the time they intend to put in their report and suggestions to the league they seem ready to make. An investigation by MLB is pending.
That is well stated when it comes to the bullpen, absolutely.
There is a u in ugh and an i in sigh.
