Agree. Again, Harper has failed to elevated his current team, which was supposed to bid for a parade this season. I love the guy as a player, but I can't demand the Cardinals offer him $400 million.
That was a worse hole. But the odds of doing such a thing are long. This team getting to the play-in game would not be as heavy a lift IMO.
BPV is doing OK. And, no, I do not know how much the team team takes out of that every year.
They have had speed before. Diaz ran well. So did Sierra. So did Pham.
This guy is a real power-hitting prospect. This team has not had many of those.
That could be a plan. Get a great fielder to strengthen the infield defense and take some pressure off of DeJong. I could buy that, especially if the SS also had some speed.
Any team that passed on Aaron Judge regrets it. Gonzales turned out to be a solid pick, but concerns about whether Judge could be quick enough through the zone with his bat have proven unfounded.
He is close to many of the Cardinals, so I am sure he is following the team on some level.
Flaherty is the whole package. Mature beyond his years on the mound. Reyes may yet prove to be as promising, but let's see if he ever gets healthy.
Sure, but, again, an outside manager might want to being a hitting coach from the outside. Keeping status quo, if that happens, could be a pacakge deal.
OK, sorry I could not get to everybody today but it's on to other duties. Have a nice day!
