I suspect the Red Sox would love to move Price _ and his contract. There is no guarantee if he is healthy enough to be a front-line starter anymore.
Except for three or four awful games, Cecil's numbers weren't that bad. But you can't throw those out. Historically, he has been a slow starter. He must fix that this spring or he'll be sentenced to mop-up roles and then disposed of, if they can find a taker.
There's always a chance Lynn could come back but it would have to be for three years, something he probably isn't too interested in. '
We'll have to keep an eye on this one this spring. Fowler may not be happy if he is asked to move to left field on some sort of permanent basis.
In that particular inning there was also a foul ball misplayed by Darrell Porter and Jack Clark. and a passed ball by Porter. The Cardinals would have won that game and the Series probably but they did hit under .200 (without Vince Coleman).
About 10 minutes left here for any questions you might feel weren't addressed although I'm Stantoned-out for the day.
That would be something to consider. Again, Donaldson would be a rental but he would cover third base and the Cardinals would be getting rid of some money in Carp and Gyorko. Biggest argument is that the Cardinals, with almost no lefthanded hitter, would be trading one of the few they have.
This Atlanta situation is one you might want to save next week for Mr. Goold, who is much more informed on it than I.
All that might well have come up. Fowler, indeed, did have one of his most prolific years and I, for one, am curious if he can produce even more with a healthy body.
I rather think that Diaz presumed he had a position in spring training. And he did _ until June _ when he didn't. I'm not sure the club intended to keep him down in Memphis that long but there was that little DeJong matter that came up.
David Drew. Nancy Drew. They both could have been better although Nancy Drew came closer.
I'm certain a lot of teams have asked about Pham because of his relatively low contract but that is all the more reason for the Cardinals to keep him.
