It depends, for instance, on how long a run was involved for the outfielder to get that close to the wall. The wall always comes into play whenever you start assessing errors to outfielders because that is an added element to the difficulty of the play.
I know one thing. Fowler's getting on base about 40 percent of the time and that's even more than the Cardinals were looking for.
