It can. But I do not think it will.
Reyes had only a couple of weeks of big-league service time this year so he probably isn't eligible for arbitration yet. He was an optioned player from April on. Adolis Garcia still is a prospect. Not sure about Robinson, who looked good in the spring, or Ramon Urias, an infielder who's on the 40 also.
Fowler probably doesn't cover the ground that you want from your center fielder but he alsohas done better than I expected. Bader or Thomas would be the better choice but are they regular players? Bader didn't hit enough this year and Thomas hasn't had the chance yet. Thomas looks good but that was one game.
I did. He used to pitch with a toothpick in his mouth.
Of those three, I believe Carpenter to be the best option. At the moment. This position will have to be addressed further when the season ends.
Not sure, other than some of the veteran umpires didn't want to work with one, let alone two, on the same crew. And with two on the same crew, it wouldn't be perceived as a strong enough crew and the players and managers, especially, would try to take advantage.
I don't mind the questions. I'm giving you the same answer. To be reviewed when the season is over. It's not over, by any means. He is not going to be let go today. Or tomorrow.
They have a boom microphone they use for the post-game sessions at home. But the ones on the road are conducted in his office and if Fox Sports Midwest isn't involved in all the question, there is no extra mike.
I don't see Bader, Thomas and Arozarena all here at the same time, until September.
That's a couple of more years of bad road there.
I don't think it had anything to do with the Astros, who are in the other league. I just don't think they thought they were improving their own club significantly by making a deal that might have been there. There isn't a deal that would have made them as good as the Dodgers. But if you win the division, you wouldn't have to play them until the LCS.
They thought that Bader was the real deal. He is not. Yet. They thought Martinez and Reyes would be big contributors and wouldn't get hurt again. They did although at least Martinez has contributed.
They would consider it but Wieters, as a free agent, might think he could play regularly somewhere else.
