Martin said last night that the staff has to find more ways to get Mark Smith open for looks off ball screens. We'll see if there's a new approach on Saturday.
Well, Pinson is shooting 24 percent from 3, so I don't know if he's the guy you want shooting 3s. Dru Smith is playing off the ball now and shooting 30 percent. I don't think there are any magical solutions at this point.
He will be a head coach soon enough. I don't think Mizzou should hand the head-coaching job to someone who's never been a head coach just because he's a likeable alum. Didn't work so well in football.
I have wondered the same. His accuracy was off against Mississippi State. He was missing on throws that he usually completes easily. He won't use it as an excuse but he clearly got his throwing hand stepped on early in the Georgia game.
Not sure. He hasn't said one way or the other.
You can think it doesn't work that way, but then you're choosing to ignore facts. This year, SEC teams chose which bowl they wanted after the Citrus Bowl chose its team. The Citrus chose Auburn. After that, SEC teams were slotted by W-L record and the teams with the best record chose what bowl they wanted. Mizzou wanted the Music City Bowl and was aware at the time of the selection that Iowa would be the likely opponent. That's not up for debate. It's how the process worked this year.
I haven't talked to them but they chose not to play this year from what I understand.
It's about as silly as Mizzou basketball self-imposing a one-year ban a few years ago during the Kim Anderson years. It's what teams do when they know sanctions are coming around the bend and they know this is the year to take their medicine.
He's putting up points but shooting 23 percent from 3. Good player. Not sure he's a one-and-done based on the small sample size so far.
OK, friends. That's all the time I have today. Have a Happy New Year and we'll chat again in 2021.
