I have decided that phrase means little. Like "narrative" and "progressive." They've lost all meaning.
Gregerson fits that role. A reunion with Neshek would mean the Cardinals were unable, at this point, to land the closer of their wishes. Hoping to get more clarity on this in the coming hours, though.
It is an example, for sure. Don't see them breaking from character though.
I'm sticking with that phrase because it still works.
It would be. It would be a lot. That will be heavy prospect oriented, and it will be pricey.
He could be now. They could add someone. Sandy Alcantara. Alex Reyes. There are options.
iPhone. I just learned it will track my steps every day. Buster Olney gave me that scoop. Kid you not.
I would, yes. Regardless of cost. The need is now. Not kicking the can down another year.
Maybe more relate to the media than leverage. Agents with something they want to get out can make one call now instead of multiple calls. It's streamlined things to just reach out to one reporter instead of individual beat reporters because then you know the news will be tweeted out and get to the public. If you're an agent or a general manager would you return the call from the one reporter who can do that with a tweet or the four, five, six reporters who have to also do the beat work?
I think I've mentioned this before in the chat. They have had their time exploring that deal, but a level of interest in him has been hard to get, for me. He seems to be the kind of closer who is going to command a deal that is uncharacteristic for the Cardinals. They would be paying for past saves, not for the saves he's going to get them. That to me, has the Cardinals hesitant at this point.
Sierra has drawn interest as part of deals, but not as a centerpiece.
True. Before my time on the beat.
I use a notebook and a Uni pen. I have fastidious with the brand and type of pen and pencils I prefer to use.
That is sometimes later in the offseason. Jason Simontacchi will not be returning, though.
Maybe for another team. Gant is going to get a look at starter in spring training.
Depends on the team. Some clubs are looking for a catcher. Sierra would not be the centerpiece of a trade because there are lots of outfielders available at that level.
