There certainly is spirited debate on this topic and no one is wrong or right. Not yet, anyway. My take is that Wainwright, Molina and Wong all could help this team. Wong would have cost the most per year. Wainwright and Molina have 10 more years of history here than Wong
I haven't been to enough other parks lately to make that judgment. But I would be surprised if the prices were "much higher."
We shall see. But we have at some 100 days to start finding out.
Maybe it's just me. But I would hold out a little longer than jumping $3.1 million worth on a guy who hit .156 this season.
You think the Twins haven't wanted that one back about 1,000 times?
I don't put a lot of stock in analytics for a season that was barely more than one-third of the usual season. So Bader's numbers will look better than what he really did, in my estimation, and I watched every inning of every game either on TV or at the ball park. He was "superior" to the other Cardinals' other outfielders in several categories, which isn't saying much. "Far superior" is a wide stretch.
Good to see you value Tepera the way I did. I can seem hooking up with Lester again. But they need some more thump in the outfield and better years out of Rizzo, Bryant, Contreras and Baez. Happ was their best player last season and they didn't figure that was going to be the case.
I'm disappointed that Johnson City isn't part of the real picture either. Many Cardinals got their start there, including nearly 20 years ago, Yadier Molina.
Thank you. I don't think a player can be "named later" that much later.
The KMOX announcers were at Busch for every game, doing the away games from there, too. Fox Sports announcers were at Busch for the home games and did the road games from a studio off-campus.
