Hmmm . . . I would keep a cooler of beer nearby in that case. Walking to the fridge with diapers on your feet sounds dicey.
The NFL will have to evolve to last 100 years. Unless the concussion issue is solved, litigation at the upper end of the sport and decreased participation at the grass roots level could kill it.
Jones is more like Kroenke;s henchman, after the work he did to make the LA move happen.
Well, if you don't get our kids off of the game consoles and out in the back yard playing catch . . .
No, because failure is failure. Mike could be hard-pressed to get another shot any time soon. I could see him getting assistant gigs and maybe a minor league head coaching role. Everybody in the NHL knew the Blues had talent. When they didn't win, that reflected badly on Mike. That the team got going for Berube didn't change much because, again, everybody knew this team should be good.
I don't mind Dunn in his third-pairing role and he can still generate chances 5 on 5 and on the power play with his puck-moving ability. In a tight-checking game you need guys who can create space for themselves will their skill. By sheltering him -- giving him offensive zone starts as much as possible -- Berube can minimize his turnover danger.
No, I still think Carl will be a cap casualty. Maybe that changes if the team wins the Cup and he is willing to take a one-year deal on the cheap, but it will be hard to keep everybody.
OK, I have to check out now and finish up my column for Saturday. We'll see you next week. Enjoy your weekend!
Yeah, I mean either way it was bad. The expectations for this team were huge. That Chief met them, belatedly, is good on him. But it probably didn't make it a whole lot worse for Yeo.
OK, so now I do have to run. More work to do. See you next time!
