Sorry for the delay. Just dashed home from Blues practice. Let's get toi it.
Is Chychrun really what you're lookng for? Not sure he's bringing you much on the defensive end.
Chemistry is such a biig thing with the Blues. I would say, o. I dont think the Blues need more goals.
I ddi not cover that game. Tom made that trip.
I'm not all that familiar with Chiarot's game. This mght be one to ask Jeff. But a will say He's not that expension at $3.5 milliion. Do you see him as a top 4 defenseman? And If so, who does he move out of the top 4? Miikkola?
The revised rule is 5 days - doesn't matter how many games. But you have to be asymptomatic and test out to make it out in 5. Depending on which test you take it's eiither one negative test or two.
Yeah, way too early IMO to even think about watlking away from Perunovich. But I think Krug has been fine so far this season.
I think the last thing the NHL wants to do is go back to a bubble setup, especiially if it means no fans. I think the road protocols are now basically as strict as they were last season: Rink-hotel-rink, etc. It's a tough situation, to be sure. And one with no failsafe way of making sure a team's top players are available for the playoffs.
Based on the line rushes today in practice, that's the way it was. Which would be puzzling. But Berube may have just been seenig how Walman looked in his first practice back with the team.
He's back with the Edmonton Oil Kings playing in the WHL.
I hear you. I gotta think it's either Tarasenko or Kyrou representing the Blues.
He has been very low key, hasn't he? But he's basically a consultant, an advisor. I don't think he travels with the team - certainly not regularly, and I haven't seen him around the rink in StL.
I don't knw about the term "given up" but yeah, Parayko may be at his ceiling, more or less. This may be what he is - a good to very good player. But not a star or superstar. Yes, I've noticed his minus-11 as well, which translates to worse than minus-20 overr a full schedule, which would be disturbing. Yeah, disturbing. But in terms of salary, Parayko currenly is making less than Krug or Faulk. Next year, when his extension kicks in, he will be making the same amount _ $6.5 million.
Not sure what your point is here. Defensemen play their off side a lot more than you'd think.
But what's the answer? Less frequent testing? Testing only symptomatic players? You've got to factor in that even if you're asymptomatic, you still can infect others. I think the bigger mistake was relaxing the protocols in terms of going out on the road, etc.
I haven't talked to anyone in the organization about him recently. He's only played 12 games - with 5 goals and 13 assists - which is a little bit behind his pace from a year ago. He had a pause for the World Juniors (which was subsequently cancelled) And now the Oil Kings have had a couple of games postponed. They're scheduled to play again on Saturday.
Don't forget the wild cards, where the Western Conference cutoff line is currently 41 points. But yeah, the top of the Central Division looks formidable. It could very well take 100 points to make the top three.
Thomas actually came back a little lighter this season, but that doesn't mean he wasn't still working on his strength - which is a common offseason goal for younger players. But yes, I think that's helped their puck management, effectiveness on the forecheck, and their ability to win more wall battles. Thomas has worked very hard to improve his faceoff percentage. I think he realized if he wanted a larger role, he'd have to do better there. And part of it could be just the natural growth and development of a couple of young, highly-regarded prospects.
