Santini seems much more at ease and comfortable up here than in his previous stints last year and the year before. I like the fact that he's not afraid to shoot the puck - helped the Blues get a big goal (by Alexandrov) last night..
Tucker plays with physicality and is a better skater and puck mover than generally given credit for.
Both play a pretty simple style and seem to have a good self-awareness of how they need to play to be successful.
Perhaps over the longer haul, their flaws will start to show. But so far, so good. I realize he doesn't have a ton of options at this point, but Berube already has put a lot on Tucker by playing him in the top 4. I think he got 19 minutes last night.
As for Samorukov, all I know is 1.) that Bannister liked how he has been playing in Springfield, and 2.) He's a fun guy to talk to and has a good sense of humor - as a writer, you root for a guy like that to get into the lineup
