Which job is Eli taking in 2023?
Great question. Bazelak has certainly struggled lately. There's no evidence to indicate the other QBs on the roster would be better. Don't count out the freshman.
I don't expect any rabbits to save the defense. It is what it is at this point. It's fair to expect some modest improvement, but not tremendous progress. Especially if some of the injuries from the A&M game are serious. Drinkwitz is focusing (publicly) on the offensive struggles. Because that's the side of the ball that's shown this year it can be competent, if not above average. If this team gets back to playing smart, disciplined offensive football, stops turning the ball over and committing penalties, there are several winnable games this year. That's the part of this team that can be salvaged. I don't know if there's hope for the defense.
I've made the point countless times, but last year's Missouri team was far closer to 3-7 or 2-8 than it was 7-3 or 8-2. The close wins suckered some people - myself included - into thinking the program had already turned a giant corner and was good enough to beat the lower and middle class teams in the SEC. Clearly, we were wrong. There are more growing pains to overcome than most expected. And I include Drinkwitz among the most ... because he admitted as much after Saturday's game. So, now it's time to fix the problems with coaching, player development and recruiting.
I don't know why he'd walk away from nearly $2 million that he's probably not going to make anywhere else.
We're still talking about Orgeron? LSU owes him about $17 million, minus whatever he'd make somewhere else.
I think they should give Rick Hummel a shot. He's seen more games than any real candidate.
There's been zero indication that he won't qualify. He's on pace to graduate in two months. That doesn't' happen if grades or test scores are at risk.
How is basketball floundering? Based on a poll voted on by exactly one person who has seen this team practice, much less can list more than four players' names? (That would be me.) ADs don't make judgments off preseason media polls. They want to watch seasons unfold and see how the team plays, how the staff manages through good times and bad and how many seats are full or empty. As for football, it's really the same thing. She's not going to make up her mind on the coach or the program's overall health based on one game or a couple games. She understands Drinkwitz is a second-year coach in the best league in America. Reed-Francois doesn't strike me as someone who's rash or impulsive. She's very analytical.
Let's not get ahead of ourselves with one commitment. Georgia has five five-star commitments for 2022.
Nah. Commish is in the freakin' Hall of Fame. I'm a rookie compared to Hummel.
I'm not sure where he's living. He's still somewhat active on Instagram.
