The Tigers have a 6-6 record this season just like last year when they ended up with an Armed Forces bowl invitation. I remember an article in SLPD before the game last year ranked that bowl as the 42nd bowl out of 42. Since MU beat No. 25 at the time ranked South Carolina in COSC and beat Arkansas which also ended up at 6-6, will they get a better bowl this year? Kansas ended up 6-6. I heard speculation that the Liberty Bowl would be interested in an MU-KU matchup. Fans would love to see that or a Mizzou Illini matchup. Illinois with 8 wins will probably get a better bowl offer. -

Sorry, but I have to lol at Arkansas Tiger...catching a punt is a very difficult task. They often come in end over end and I'd love to see him and try and concentrate knowing eleven other 200+ lb guys who have a running start are just waiting to bury him if he decides to catch it and run with it.

If he indeed plays baseball he'll be a part-time baseball player. Last year, all but one SEC baseball series was after the football team's spring game. Football will be the priority. I can't imagine he'll miss a spring football practice. His scholarship is for football.

Dave - ED recruited 3 quarterback last year from the transfer portal, but all 3 decided to go to elsewhere. If he recruits a quarterback this year, what is so different about this year's team that a transfer quarterback would select Mizzou (besides Luther Burden)? Thank You

Now that Nebraska has changed it's head football coach again, do you think there's any chance that Mizzou and Nebraska might play a 3 or 4 years series of games? I do miss some of the old Big 8 rivalries and Nebraska was among my favorite games every year. Has soooo much time elapsed where there isn't enough interest to revive it? Also, what do you expect the Nebraska program to look like in four years? Is this coach good enough to bring them back to national prominence or what do you think the ceiling and floor is?

Mizzou future scheduling is up in the air until the SEC decides if it's playing eight or nine conference games. Even then, MU has some future series with Power 5 teams already under contract with Kansas, Illinois and Colorado.Nebraska has a Power 5 noncon opponent every through the late 2030s. Oklahoma, Tennessee, Arizona, Oklahoma State.For Mizzou and Nebraska to ever put a season together, it won't happen for a couple decades or they'd both have to cancel some other series.Matt Rhule is a strong hire. He knows how to run a program, how to build a program in disarray and build a winner. Mack Rhoades wanted to hire him at Mizzou when Pinkel retired but couldn't get him here.

We're about 1/4 of the way through the season, and I am interested in your outlook for the "real" season of Missouri basketball. I think preseason guesses are stupid, especially for this team, but you've seen them now for a while. What would be your best guess for their SEC standing at the end? I'm not personally going to go crazy over an 8-0 start against next-to-nobodies, but there's no denying the fight they've shown. The thing that stands out to me is the ability to get MANY different players significant roles in different games. But how do you now think this will all shake out in the 2023 SEC schedule? Is a .500 SEC record a realistic goal, or too optimistic, in your opinion?

Does the Wichita State win push past the wait and see what theyre like phase for Mizzou Basketball? Do they have a shot to push for a NCAA Tourney Berth? Also, how was Kobe handling not playing down the stretch? He seems like a smart kid who understands things but also has been the best player the last couple years.

Brown seemed fine on the bench. He was fired up after the win. He's a team guy. No worries there.Wichita State was picked in the American Athletic Conference. That was by far the best they've played this year against a decent opponent. That's not an NCAA Tournament team, but still a solid road win.
