I wasn’t shocked that cold shooting led to a little desperation last night. Those games are going to happen when dmoi (who has been better than expected) is off.
Team didn’t quit - major plus on the toughness side.

The village bar was packed for the ark game. There is pent up demand for good Missouri hoops.
Really like what Shaw brings - he’s not Javon crud up but that’s a young man who will grow into a nice SEC caliber player. Future looks bright.
I was at the slu game last night and Javon Picket does not look like the same player.

Will you be getting out to any of the feats this weekend? Funk, alternative, country, etc? I’m not a huge country guy but Nick Gusman and the Coyotes are pretty great. -

He just doesn't offer a whole lot on the offensive end but I'll be curious to see if he gets more minutes to boost the rebounding. He averages only 6.8 rebounds per 40 minutes - that's fifth on the team and fewer than Brown, Diarra, Carter and DeGray. But the kid is fearless. Throw him out there more and see what he can do.

I think the Tigers can win a few more games by being competitive on the boards. They do not have to out rebound the other team but they cannot get "destroyed" on the boards. If they can keep the rebounding deficit under ten and not get out rebounded by, say, seventeen, they can win a few more games.
And you do not, necessarily, have to be really tall to rebound although it certainly helps. It is more about strength, desire, and positioning. And anyone can make themselves stronger and learn how to better position themselves and box out. The desire to compete may be another thing but, at this level, the fire should be there for everybody. Hi Dave! I'm going to the Arky game next Wednesday. I sure hope we get another game like they had in Fayetville, just with a little better outcome. We're coming from out of town (about 1.5 hours), so one of the few perks of an 8:00 start is we can get to COMO early enough to get a bite to eat. My question is, where do you suggest?

I just re-read the bball recruits article that you embedded. Butler 7' with 3.8 blks/game and Pierce 6'10" wing that Gates called a rim protector should help the rebounding issue that we are facing this season ... along with Shaw and Diarra continuing to develop. I just want to say thanks for all the information you've provided over the years. You've done a great job and it's appreciated.
