I think for the players who express interest in making some cash in NIL endorsements, it's going to be an important factor in their recruitment. Now, legally, Mizzou can't orchestrate any deals or have any involvement whatsoever in any contracts that a recruit or current player enters. But ... it would be naive to assume those conversations aren't happening about the earning potential certain prospects would have. Logically, players from the area or from within the state would have more NIL opportunities regionally because there are more businesses and business owners who want to see Mizzou succeed.
I'd say Kentucky and Boston College have excellent chances to beat Missouri. At this point, I'd put UK as a slight favorite over the Tigers. I'd put MU-Boston College as a push for now. All three teams - Mizzou, BC, UK - are fringe top 25 teams. Could Mizzou start off 6-0? Certainly, but if I had to make a prediction right now I'd expect one if not two losses before the Aggies come to town.
I use both Rivals and 247Sports but especially like the 247Sports Composite rankings because it's an average of multiple rankings from different sites that cover recruiting.
Yes, it's installed. You can always install new tweaks for certain offenses from week to week, but the system is in now. They're preparing for Central Michigan.
Obviously it would be a big pickup. Just based on the recruiting rankings, it won't vault Mizzou into the top 10 - at least not now. When you add Burden to Mizzou's class using the 247Sports class calculator, the class ranking jumps from No. 16 to No. 13. More important, it would prove that Mizzou can indeed land nationally elite recruits when they're from in-state, which is what Pinkel was able to do more often than not with five-star players like Gabbert, Richardson, DGB.
Yes, they sell alcohol at Mizzou home games in all sports. In 2019, the SEC allowed alcohol sales at home venues.
Yes, it happens at all levels.
Possibly. Signings like that can create regional momentum. But every recruit is different. Some won't care at all because they have a different set of factors that interest them.
Drinkwitz is the offensive coordinator, play-caller and QB coach.
I believe it's under contract to remain in Atlanta through 2026. I don't anticipate it leaving there.
There were still a few blank jerseys at today's practice.
Correct. That's what I wrote. I don't believe the test result was known at the time.
I like it. I was in the arena the last two nights. Very sharp. It'll look much better on TV. The old court had that yellow sheen to it on TV, which was a result of the paint color plus a certain kind of floor wax they would apply that gave it that strange glow on TV.
