I have not heard anything beyond guessing when it comes to what the breakdown of divisions could look like. If put to a vote, I would assume there would be more interest in having Mizzou play old Big 12 foes Oklahoma and Texas. I do think the league would like to keep Mizzou-Arkansas in place. My pal Mitchell Forde of Power Mizzou has proposed two divisions with two four-team pods in each division, with MIzzou playing Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas every year while other games come and go. That would be a "West" division along with another four-team pod of Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Texas A&M and LSU in the other West pod. That would leave these two pods (Bama, Auburn, Tennessee, UK) (Georgia, Florida, South Carolina and Vandy) in the so-called East.
Texas and Oklahoma have to play every year. Same for Alabama and Tennessee, Ole Miss and Miss State and Georgia and Florida.
Some would argue Tennessee and Florida have to play every year, but some of the beloved games are going to get snipped, and I think Mizzou because of its relative newness in the league will be on the losing end of getting its say in what stays and what goes.
