I hear you, but best to cut some slack this season. The networks have learned they can save money by not sending guys to games, and it's making it harder to do the broadcasts. Seems they don't always have a good read on what's going on in the game due to the camera, and there has been some awkwardness at times I've observed when people are broadcasting from different locations. It's going to be odd when big networks are not sending announcers to games that are filled with fans, right? That needs to change soon.
Banned? Like what happens if it happens? The guy gets released, suspended, banned from the game? Some of these takes are a bit out of hand. Every sport has an element of danger. Some more than others. The up-and-in stuff needs to be analyzed and tamped down, but eliminating it from the game changes the game entirely. This is the slippery slope of changing the sport. Everybody has a favorite rule change.
It wasn't just the young guys who seemed to catch the contagious walk bug. It has bitten this team a time or two before, where next thing you know no one seems to be able to throw a strike. The worst offenders with the least amount of experience will need to lock in or be sent out for more seasoning. A team with a defense this good should not be leading the league in walks surrendered.
Maybe eventually. Now? Don't mess with a good thing. Bader knew what his problem was. Knowing it and fixing it are different things. He really seems to have made strides. Still to early to say for certain, because of his delayed start, but you have to like what you see so far. He has an .805 OPS against right-handed pitching so far this season. That's huge for him.
Time to run folks. Check the chat recap tomorrow for some of the answers I did not get to here. Need to get down to the ballpark. Thanks for joining. Cheers!
