The over-under for this team appears to be 7. I'll drink the Kool Aid as founding Antler and see 8 victories. As for Coach Drink, are we really complaining that he has too much personality after enduring the Barry Odom regime?
He'll get a real shot at the rotation, just as he was put in the key position of closer this year. The Cardinals love the guy.
My standard answer to such question is, "Well, if Harold Baines can get into the Baseball Hall of Fame . . ."
We'll see. The team could always trade DeJong, who doesn't make THAT much money, keep Sosa in a utility role. I never really believed they would make the Arenado trade and they did.
Krug finished better than he started and gave fans an indication of what he can do. I'd expect a good campaign from him this year after a regular summer of preparation and these previous season of adjustment.
The Cardinals have been profitable over the years. Bill DeWitt Jr. begged to differ with my characterization of it as "wildly profitable," but when you factor in franchise appreciation it has has super-wildly profitable.
That's it for today. See you next time!
