Concerning the future Blues #1 line who do think the winger will be joining Thomas/Kyrou? Is he on the present roster? Is there anyone out there that you could see Armstrong being able to add at a reasonable price? Will the solution end up breaking up these two if Kyrou can't play more defensively responsible seeing his terrible + - despite leading the team in scoring?

I could see Neighbours landed there to give that line some grit, net front presence and puck retrieval. He has a bit more offensive ability than Toropchenko. I'd try to keep the duo together and give them some help.

I'm actually thinking the Cards might've been better off starting the 3 incumbent OF w Yepez, Burleson and have Donavan slip in once in awhile to see who can produce to have a better idea who to use for a trade for pitching down the road this season instead of slotting Walker to play everyday while protecting him at the bottom of the lineup while learning OF? This basically locks Gorman at DH while not seeing Carlson, Yepez and Burleson.

The Cardinals love Walker's talent and his work approach. The bet is that he can make adjustments. We'll see if he can.

Watching the game it looked like the pitchers weren't throwing "unhittable" 0-2 and 1-2 pitches which resulted in cheap hits instead of "K's"? Could this be an early sign of not trusting Contreras or him not emphasizing it like Yadi use to? Or was it a possible sign of his pitch calling which was a worry coming in? I know "only one game" ..just chatting. On another note if he's hurt and out doesn't this lineup go back to last year w limited protection for Areanado unless O'Neill or possibly Gorman do what Pujols did in the 2nd half?

I just think you some guys miss locations. Miles Mikolas worked from behind too much. He threw lots of unhittable pitches taken for balls.

Do you think the cards put too many "hall of famers" out there for opening day? I remember when I was a kid, it was the unquestionable legends of the game who were out there - Musial, Gibson, Brock, Schoendienst, Slaughter. Not to put anyone down, but are the cards watering it down by putting Izzy out there for example? This is the Cardinals. It's National Hall of Fame or bust for me.
