We try to announce time changes on the web site as soon as possible, but there are weeks where I have a scheduling conflict because of a press conference or travel. Next Thursday I'll have a seven-hour drive back from Nashville, so we'll likely have to adjust.
Missouri has only one scholarship available presently. You don't specifically target a player only to replace a player who might get hurt. Smith's foot injury last year had lingered since high school. It got worse when he landed on it at Arkansas. Having two injuries in two years doesn't mean you're going to have a third injury in three years.
I'm not sure he's good enough at any one skill to make it in the NFL. He's fast but not doesn't have elite speed. Never had great hands. He's a slot receiver with a history of injuries. And he was not a good returnman. Good college player. Not sure he'll make it beyond that.
The student section was packed for the Auburn game. Since classes resumed in mid-January, there were good student crowds for the Saturday games. The midweek Tuesday night games were less full. I think the students get too much blame for the attendance issue. There are far more empty swaths of seats in the season ticket sections across from the benches. Some of those fans prefer to watch the games from the bar where they have access, but that doesn't explain all the empty seats down there.
It's pronounced Brown. Like the color. As in James Brown. As in Charlie Brown. As in Millie Bobby Brown.
There's only one spot to fill for now. They could use an impact big man, but those don't grow on trees this time of year. A wing player who can be an impact scorer should be a priority. We'll see if they find one in the transfer portal, junior colleges or maybe someone who backs out of a NLI after a coaching change.
OK folks. We're out of time. Good chattin' today. Be on the look out for a time change for next week's chat. I'll be traveling from Nashville next Thursday.
