Could be Rhaney. Could be Donnal. Could be the new guy Sullivan, at center. BTW, did you see that Tim Barnes is signing with San Francisco?
Rampage, you didn't have me at hello. But you did have me at that first standing _ I repeat _ standing backflip I saw you do. I'll always be a fan. Sorry to hear things aren't working out. Maybe you could do birthday parties for the celebrities or something.
Personal testimony, eh? OK.
I'd have to see how the new contract is structured. OK, wait. Let me look it up quickly. . . .OK. A $5 million roster bonus payable in 2018 already is guaranteed. He's due $3 million in base in '18, that's only partially guaranteed until early in the '18 league year. So the Rams would have to swallow some money if they cut or traded Austin after '17. I'll say 55-45 he stays.
They A&M draft pick Reynolds has some height but he needs some protein shakes and some time in the weight room.
From what I hear, you're not the only Rams employee from St. Louis that doesn't like it in LA. But things will get better. You won't have to move around so much this year.
It's pretty high to take a guy who has only 1 year as a Division I starter. He had something like 17 penalties last season alone. And I believe Bolles also will be a 25-year-old rookie. So I don't know about that one. I think I wouldn't have taken Ramczyk of Wisconsin. But don't you think Elway deserves the benefit of the doubt based on track record? I really like the Jake Butt pick at the top of the fifth round, and have no problem with Chad Kelly as Mr. Irrelevant, It's not like you're risking any money there. Why not add a third QB to the mix and see what's there. If he's any trouble at all _ pink slip. No fuss, no muss.
Don't know about championships, but the Arizona Cardinals stadium has plenty of pictures of former St. Louis Cardinals displayed prominently. As you probably know, the Ring of Honor in the Edward Jones Dome included St. Louis football Cardinals and LA Rams. Once Stan's Palace opens in Inglewood, I'll be curious to see what is made of the "Greatest Show on Turf" team and the Super Bowl won in St. Louis.
OK, I do apologize for that last one. It was too gossipy. I plead guilty.
Twenty-one years, my friend, would be considered a generation. That's a pretty long time.
See my earlier posts.. This draft was all McVay. At least with the offensive players..
Somebody's got to take him right? And Cutler too. Who that is, I have no idea.
Uh yes. A Kansas City Chiefs' preseason game in the dome, in 2028..
I'd say Watson has the best chance given the quarterback situation in Houston. And maybe he starts relatively early in the season. Maybe Trubisky later. Don't see it happening with Mahomes this year in KC barring injury.
Don't know about all that. He needs Quinn to stay healthy and regain his mojo as a pass-rusher, even in making the switch to OLB. He needs Connor Barwin to have a good year. But even if that occurs, I don't see a Denver-like secondary.
You'd think anything would be viewed as an improvement compared to Goodell as far as St. Louis is concerned. But I don't see Goodell going anywhere unless ratings continue to decrease over the next several seasons.
I'm not all that familiar with a lot of the assistants. Keeping Fassel as special teams coordinator was big. Obviously hiring Phillips was huge. I've always like Greg Olson. The job he did in StL under Linehan was underappreciated. And he's had jobs since then in a lot of tough places. I know Demoff thinks pretty highly of Kromer, I think he was on the head-coach interview list in the Fisher hiring cycle.
I would think KC would be a great draft site. Maybe not as lively as the Philly fans but it would still be a good atmosphere. Is there an open area in Westport that could handle it? I think you have to go back to Philly at least another year. And Dallas wants a shot at it too, and usually Commissioner Jones gets what he wants. So KC my have to wait a little bit.
Yeah, but those same turnstiles allowed only 18 sacks in 2015 and helped get Gurley rookie of the year honors. So I don't think you give up on that core yet. I think part of the blame needs to go to Gurley.
OK, that's all for this week. We'll only have about three more of these before I take a little hiatus. Thx for playing. See you next week.
