This team has been different offensively during the latter part of the year. Since their five-game losing streak back at the start of August, they scored eight or more runs 11 times.
Check the OPS of a few guys before the All-Star break and after:
Molina: .654/.885 (limited at bats)
Edman has 230 of his 263 at bats after the break with good numbers (.276, eight stolen bases).
Bader is 18 for 69 (.261) in the last two months after hitting .155 and .146 in the previous two months.
Conversely, Ozuna hit a rough patch and DeJong has been consistently so-so after his crazy hot start. But on balance, this is a different offense with Carpenter playing part time, Fowler and Wong setting the table and Goldschmidt delivering his career-norm OPS this month.
