I've been pretty consistent that the MLS stadium proposal was a bad deal for the citizens of St. Louis. It would have been stupid to vote for it. Fortunately for the city, most voters didn't buy into the propaganda.
I wouldn't call Cardinals fans whiners. I think they have been spoiled by greatness. They have come to expect winning baseball under Bill DeWitt Jr.'s stewardship.
Thanks for the compliment. I pushed for the Cardinals to spend more money this offseason, but I also acknowledge that they've been quite successful by remaining true to what has sustained success for the organization.
I'm sure it would, but that isn't happening anytime soon.
All I can say is that Jim Thomas has done a very good and thorough job on this story today.
You mean that I'm being a bully by answering a question candidly?
Quite simply the question is do you want Adams or Martinez. It's clear Matheny wants Adams' bat in the lineup against Max Scherzer. I don't blame him.
Most people in baseball will tell you that you should never put too much stock in spring training stats.
I think Ken Hitchcock will be very successful in Dallas. If he gets a new goaltender, and he likely will, Dallas will be a strong contender as early as next year.
Carpenter was one of the best hitters in baseball in the first half of the season. Don't give up on him.
Right. The crooked E was straight crooked.
If Allen plays as well as he has since Feb. 27, I think the Blues can beat the Wild in six games and then pull off another upset against the Blackhawks.
I was going to point that out earlier, but I didn't want to be a smarty pants.
I'll take that under advisement.
