Thanks for your observation.
Cardinal fans have definitely been spoiled by Bill DeWitt Jr.'s ownership group. You also are right to point out that the players are the ones more responsible for some of these sophomoric mistakes.
I hadn't thought about that. There is a lack of focus at times, too much aggressiveness at other times.
Es fundamental, pero solo el cinco porcentio hablamos lost dos idiomas.
Can we at least wait until late June to decide if they should be sellers. The first month of the season isn't even over.
I wasn't there. I apologize.
I don't think they have the yips, but I would be lying if it didn't cross my mind. They make too many silly mistakes.
I don't think it's the sole blame, but you can never tell how much impact it has. I realize Cardinals fans focus mainly on Matheny, but every manager in baseball is accused off using some bullpen arms too much. That's why relief pitching is the most difficult thing to count on from year to year.
The Cardinals have a great track record. They didn't tank like the Cubs and Astros, so it's important to consider that when judging them against the Cubs.
I wrote two weeks ago that the Western Conference was wide open, and it proved to be after the first round upsets.
It happens every once in a while. The key, however, is to be in the clubhouse and willing to let the players speak their mind. If you write your opinion, you damn well better be man enough to let the players give it back to you. You'd be surprised how many folks in the Blues and Cardinals organization have mentioned how much they appreciate that I give them a chance to give their side, whether we disagree or not. I was groomed as a baseball writer in Los Angeles and New York, where you learn quickly that you owe it to the players to show up the next day after you rip them. Sadly, some cowards take shots from afar and aren't man enough to show up in the clubhouse.
Thanks. I hope my fielding percentage if better than the Cardinals'.
I don't expect any trades soon.
The Astros and Cubs would tell you that they played by the rules in place, and they are right. You also have to comment Bill DeWitt Jr. and John Mozeliak for not putting their fans through such a scam. If you pay major league ticket prices, you deserve major league baseball.
Folks, thank you. I have to get ready to go to Scottrade Center. Have a great day and thank you for caring enough to participate. Whether we agree or not, please know that I appreciate the interaction and passion. Adios, amigos.
