I'm sure everything is under the microscope now.
Nothing prevents the Cardinals from honoring him after he retires.
I don't like it. Are you really going to bury Molina in the ninth spot? What about Piscotty's season tells you he should remain at the No. 3 spot? What about Diaz's season tells you he should bat ahead of Molina?
I picked it up, but I haven't read it yet. I have a stack of books I'm trying to read.
I would change the American soccer pyramid to be more like the rest of the world. Around the world, the best teams pay to develop the best players. In America, the kids pay to develop themselves. So we lose a lot of great players because they don't have the money to play for top clubs.
I would like to see baseball back in Montreal. No major league team will allow another in its market. I would put a team in San Antonio.
Carson Kelly's development is better off playing every day in Memphis instead of twice a week or once a week in the majors.
Machado, Correa, Trout, Altuve.
I don't think it's similar at all. Hitchcock was put in a no-win situation. They got rid of key pieces from last year's team and then planned to change styles. This team is the same as last year with a few additions.
I think Mozeliak has this franchise headed in the right direction despite the bad baseball we've seen much of this season.
Grichuk isn't going to get you much in return at this point.
I don't think MLS is coming here unless the owners come up with the money for their own stadium. I don't think they would ever get public funding now, especially now that the mayor realizes the city might actually need to raise taxes for police. There are bigger issues in this city. It's time to move on and appreciate the USL team that soccer park and the Ambush.
That is a very good question. My pal Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times and I were both talking about the need to write a column about this kid in St. Louis. Please look for one soon. He and Christian Pulisic are going to make magic together for the U.S. national team over the next decade.
I assume he'll draw a good package in return if he continues to pitch the way he is pitching.
Thanks so much for joining us in this week's chat. We have a roundtable discussion at the Post-Dispatch at 5:30, so I'm headed into the office now. See you next week.
