I agree with you. I don't think the Cubs' lineup is that much better than the Cardinals, with third base and first base being the huge exceptions.
That's a very good question. What did he do? For what did he take responsibility in his statement? That's the question that wasn't answered during this whole process.
I don't think that's a realistic expectation coming out of camp.
I'm betting it will be one of the young pitchers. Perhaps it will be Flaherty or Hudson. I wouldn't call Reyes a breakout because I've said already that I think he's a stud who could be a frontline starter by the end of the season. How about Derian Gonzalez?
If I were the GM of the Rays I would ask for Reyes, Flaherty, Weaver and Adolis Garcia. The Cardinals would say no, but you asked me what I would request.
He is a solid utility man who can play all positions. What do you expect from your utility guy?
Who won the World Series last year and in 2016? The Yankees, Red Sox and Dodgers play in much richer markets. Nonetheless, did you miss the news about the Marcell Ozuna acquisition?
I can name the starting lineup and a kid named Michael Porter, Jr., but he hasn't played in a few months.
The Cardinals aren't as far behind the Cubs as some critics would have you believe, so I agree with you.
OK, but what's your point?
Perhaps, but that wasn't the question.
I think Bowman is also a lock.
Some players remained with the team. Others returned home. It all depended on whether those guys were going to play in multiple games. The younger and less established the position player was, the more likely he was going to stay on the trip.
I think the limit should be what the market will allow. If you cannot afford to pay the players, drop down to Division II. If you can, pay what it takes to compete.
That is a good question. I would assume the women do, but don't be surprised if the men win at least two games in the NCAA Tournament.
I don't agree. I don't think the middle infield is as clear cut at some Cubs fans want to believe.
I hate these sort of stupid questions, but I'll answer it anyway because I'm sure it's a test to see if I know the different between Jontay and Michael. Jontay's coming back. I would be stunned if Michael comes back. Did I pass your test?
Thanks. He is indeed impressive, especially considering he reclassified to graduate from high school early to play with his brother.
If we don't have anymore questions, I'd like to thank you for another fun live chat. See you all next week.
